Step 1
Rinse beans and soak overnight in water to cover.
Step 2
Drain and place beans in a large saucepan; cover with water

Add onions and simmer 1 hour or until tender.

Drain and pour into a 2-quart bean pot or casserole.

Combine molasses, brown sugar, salt and dry mustard.
Step 6
Add boiling water; mix well.
Step 7
Pour over beans.
Step 8
Place salt pork on top.
Step 9
Cover and bake at 300 for 5 hours, adding water if top seems dry.
Step 10
Uncover and bake 1 more hour.
