Step by Step Method
Step 1
Mix baking powder, salt and flour. add oil and mix. add milk and parsley and mix together.
Step 2
Pour soup into a large saucepan . Put in on the stove and bring soup to a boil over medium high heat. Turn heat down to medium. Drop batter by tablespoonful over soup to make 5 large dumplings. be careful not to splash hot soup on yourself.
Step 3
Put the lid on the pot and turn the heat down to medium low so the soup is just simmering. Cook for 20 minutes or until dumplings are cooked all the way through. Using a slotted spoon, take one out and cut it open to see if it is done; if not, put it back in the pot and cook a few minutes more.
Step 4
Serve soup with cubes of cheddar cheese on the side.
