Step by Step Method

Step 1

Slice sausage into 3/4 inch thick slices.

Step 2

Cut potatoes into cubes 1 1/2 to 2 inch pieces.

Step 3

Dice or slice red pepper.

Step 4

Melt butter over medium heat.

Step 5

Add onion and garlic, cook and stir 5 minutes or until onion is translucent.

Step 6

Stir in sausage and oregano and cook 5 minutes.

Step 7

Stir in potatoes, and add salt and pepper to taste, mix well

Step 8

Transfer to crock-pot or slow cooker.

Step 9

Cover and cook on low 6 to 8 hours or on high 3 to 4 hours stirring every hour.

Step 10

Add cabbage and bell pepper last 30 minutes of cooking.

Step 11

Top with Parmesan cheese before serving.

This is very good. I was quite surprised at how tasty this was. The onliy change I made was to used the shaker jarred parmesan cheese and it worked just fine.
