"This used to be a favorite of the oyster lovers at my house on Christmas Eve. I haven't prepared it in a few years, but I certainly enjoyed it when I did. The recipe is from a cookbook called "Down Home In Style" from Dothan, Alabama cooks. I can easily eat two of these, so consider the appetite of those eating, or their love for oysters."

Very tasty recipe. Will definitely make this again. I used a large muffin tin to hold each individual oyster. I mixed Panko crumbs with Italian seasoning in place of the Italian crumbs. Very nice delicate seasonings for the oysters. 25 March 2018 I hadn't cooked oysters for quite a while and when I saw that they were just putting out some fresh ones I had to have some. I find that a pint is a bit stingy for two but two points is a bit rich. However I settled on 2 pints and using this delicious recipe we ate them all. I got everything measured out in the AM but didn't assemble until just before baking - it took 17 minutes at 450f. placed 2 oysters in each hole of a large 6 muffin tin. This recipe stays in my favourites.
