"Much better then plain old mashed potatoes. I have at times replaced the turnip with parsnips or carrots. You can add a bit of milk to this while mashing if you like a creamier texture."

Derf "RIP" Forever in our Kitchen

love mashed potatoes with turnip and the oregano is one of my favourite seasonings so i knew we would love it. I only had half a small turnip left but it was enough to get the flavour.  Rather than add any milk i added an extra tablespoon of no fat sour cream.  Perfect side with our Short ribs, the olf fashioned way, mmm delicious with the short rib gravy!!  I'll be making these again thanks!
