Step 1: Bring potatoes and turnip to a boil in salted water; toss in bay leaf and oregano.
Step 2: Cook until tender, about 20 minutes on high heat.
Step 3: Drain and remove bay leaf.
Step 4: Add butter and sour cream and mash.
Step 5: Season with pepper.
