Step by Step Method
Step 1
To the egg whites, add salt and cream of tartar. Beat until stiff
Step 2
Very gradually add sugar, fold in gently.
Step 3
Divide into 2 equal parts.
Step 4
First part fold in yolks.
Step 5
Put zest in 2 cups cake flour. Fold into yellow part
Step 6
Second, fold in 1/2 cup flour and almond extract.
Step 7
In ungreased angel food pan, alternate white and orange.
Step 8
A spoon of white a spoon of yellow
Step 9
Bake in slow oven 300 degrees im guessing 1 hour.
Step 10
Invert pan after baking 1 hour.
