Step by Step Method

Step 1

In a skillet, cook the beef and celery oveer medium heat until meat is no longer pink, about 5 minutes. Drain off the liquid.

Step 2

To the skilled add the soup, water, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, mustard & lemon pepper, then bring to a boil, reduce the heat and simmer, uncovered for 20 to 25 minutes or until thickened, stirring occasionally.

Step 3

Slice the buns, then spread the cut sides with butter and toast them. Divide the beef mixture among the 4 buns and enjoy.

Nice change from our normal sloppy joes. The onion flavor was good and enjoyed having the "tomato" flavor in the background. I used a can of Campbell's French Onion soup and for us the onion burgers were a tad to salty. Would make these again with a little bit of adjustment here and there.
