"I made this up for Thanksgiving dinner, since I wasn't making a whole turkey and regular dressing/stuffing is no longer an option with my mother's carbohydrate restrictions. It came out pretty darn good!"

Step by Step Method
Step 1
Melt butter in a large frying pan; add onion and celery and cook, stirring occasionally, until soft.
Step 2
Remove pan from heat; stir in remaining ingredients except additional butter.
Step 3
Transfer oat mixture to a greased 2-quart casserole dish; smooth down top.
Step 4
Cover and bake at 350F for 1 hour, or until crisp on top and edges are browned.
Step 5
If dressing is too dry, drizzle with additional melted butter until desired moistness.
