Step by Step Method

Step 1

Shred half of the the cabbage finely and the other half more coarsely.

Step 2

Place in a zip top bag or a large Tupperware container.

Step 3

In a medium bowl, whisk together vegetable oil, red wine vinegar, sugar, salt, seasoned salt, black pepper, and onion powder.

Step 4

Pour the dressing over the shredded cabbage.

Step 5

Refrigerate 24 hours or until cabbage turns deep red, softens a bit, and flavors meld.

Step 6

If you can, shake it around a time or two while it is in the fridge chilling.

Very good, made as directed except I used a food processor for shredding the cabbage and also used celery salt for the salt. Delicious! Thanks for sharing!
