" A dear "Newfie" friend used to make these for me and I love them. To be really authentic serve these with baked beans. Just boil your potatoes and mash them do not add anything to them. Steam your cod until it is flakey"

Step by Step Method

Step 1

Mix potatoes, onions, parsley, butter and eggs. Stir until mixed well

Step 2

Add the flaked cod, mix well but gently

Step 3

Form into 10 patties,coat with seasoned crumbs

Step 4

Add oil to a skillet and brown the patties over medium heat, About 4- 5 minutes each side

Had some leftover cooked cod and this was a wonderful way to use it! Great flavour and very easy to put together. I also had a small amount of potatoes left, fork mashed them, and i used panco crumbs for the outside mixed with a little cayenne pepper and dried dill, and fried it in veggie spray.   I just made one big pattie for myself and enjoyed it very much, thanks for posting.
