Step by Step Method
Step 1
Cream sugar and shortening.
Step 2
Beat egg whites until stiff peaks form.
Step 3
Sift dry ingredients together, add to creamed mixture.
Step 4
Add milk and vanilla, then add nuts.
Step 5
Fold in egg whites gently DONT OVER-MIX.
Step 6
Pour into greased floured 9x13 cake pan
Step 7
BAKE AT 300 DEGREES FOR 30 TO 35 MINUTES TIL TOOTHPICK COMES CLEAN.(no time given )
