"Can use any filling you want. The 1st kind has 2 layers of cheese and then fruit layer. They said plum ( prune). The second kind was Bohemian which is Mr. Picky and Libbie. It means round in Czech so it's a round pastry."

Step by Step Method
Step 1
Whisk dry ingredients together and make a well in the center.
Step 2
Mix wet ingredients together, melt butter in scalded milk.
Step 3
When lukewarm add egg yolks and vanilla.
Step 4
Mix into dry ingredients.
Step 5
Mix put in greased bowl to rise and cover.
Step 6
Let rise until double in volume.
Step 7
Punch down, and let rise again.
Step 8
Pinch off dough.
Step 9
Put in buttered pan.
Step 10
Put a tablespoon of filling in center read my other Kolače recipes to get what they do.

Let rise until double.
Step 12
Preheat oven to 350F. Bake for 25 minutes or until lightly browned, they were using wood stove back then.
Step 13
Sprinkle powdered sugar on baked Kolače.
