"An easy summer salad. Note it has no dressing. This is from an old booklet put out by the Walla Walla Gardeners Association. Walla Walla is in SW Washington state, where the sweetest onions outside of Vidalia, GA are grown! (how's that for diplomacy!) Cook time is chilling time time. At QB's suggestion, I changed the instructions, r.e. the salt and pepper."

Loved it. What a great salad. I love simple ones and this one is a keeper. So much flavor, who knew? This salad was wonderful, I let it sit covered in the fridge for half the day, it was perfect. It will go into my salad rotation. I used mint and tomatoes from my garden. Thanks for sharing your wonderful recipe Mikekey. Made for What's on the Menu? tag game.

A lovely refreshing salad. Just the perfect salad to serve on a warm night. I also added the salt and pepper just before serving and this made for one perfect salad.

A delicious fresh tasting salad. I made this twice, the first time as instructed and next time I added the salt and pepper just before serving because the salt draws out the juices which makes for a soggy tomato.
