Step 1

Combine all ingredients except chicken, mixing well.

Step 2

Add chicken pieces; cover and marinate in refrigerator 2 or 3 hours, turning occasionally.

Step 3

Grill chicken over medium coals, turning and basting with marinating sauce frequently.

Step 4

Cook 45 minutes or until done.

Step 5

While chicken is cooking, heat remaining marinating sauce in heatproof pan on back of gril or over low coals.

Step 6

Serve hot sauce with grilled chicken.

Derf "RIP" Forever in our Kitchen

First off i had to improvise some, had no tomato sauce, used tomato paste, for my chicken pieces i used half a chicken cut up for the 2 of us. I used the taco seasoning. All in all it worked out wonderfully, great flavour!! Marinated it for about 3 hours, but goofed up with the left over marinade, burned it and couldn't use it. Grilled the chicken on our counter top grill, it came out very dark on the outside but very luscious on the inside (we liked the dark skin!). wonderful recipe I will be making again.
