  • For the tequila, look for a higher quality tequila for a better tasting margarita.
  • For the triple sec, look for an orange-flavored liqueur that is not too sweet.

  • Substitute vodka for tequila - This substitution offers a milder flavor with a smoother finish, while still providing the same citrusy and sweet elements as the original recipe.
  • Substitute lime juice for lemon juice - This substitution adds a bit of tartness to the drink, while still providing the same acidic and citrusy notes as the original recipe.

FAQ

Q: How do I make sure the salt doesn't get in the drink?

A: Make sure to moisten the rim of the glass with fresh lime juice before sprinkling the salt around the exterior of the glass. This will help keep the salt from getting in the drink.

Q: How much salt should I use?

A: The amount of salt you use will depend on the size of the glass and how much of the rim you want to cover. Generally, a pinch of salt is enough to lightly coat the rim.

Yum. Like the fact that it doesn't include a margarita mix. It's tastes fresh and I'd pay $$ for this. A definite make again.

A lovely drink I enjoyed and will be making again when getting together with a few of my girlfriends. Made for the Cinco de Mayo food photo event.
