Step by Step Method
Step 1
Preheat oven to 375F
Step 2
In a large bowl, beat butter till fluffy

Beat in sugar, lemon peel, baking powder, baking soda and salt

Beat in egg, sour cream and lemon juice
Step 5
Beat in as much flour as you can, then mix the rest in with a spoon

Drop by slightly rounded tablespoon onto ungreased cookie sheet, 3 inches apart

Bake about 8 minutes, or until tops are firm

Transfer cookies to a wire rack

To make glaze, combine all ingredients in a small bowl, stirring till sugar is disolved

Brush cookies with glaze. Sprinkle with coarse sugar and chopped yellow gumdrops
