  • Be sure to use fresh lemons for the best flavor.
  • Use unsalted butter for this recipe.

  • Coconut oil instead of butter: Coconut oil is a healthier alternative to butter as it contains less saturated fat. It also adds a subtle coconut flavor which can be a nice addition to the lemon butter.
  • Agave nectar instead of granulated sugar: Agave nectar is a natural sweetener that is lower on the glycemic index than granulated sugar. It can also add a hint of sweetness without overwhelming the lemon flavor.

Orange Butter Replace the lemon juice and zest with juice and zest from 2 oranges. Follow the rest of the instructions as normal.

Lemon Blueberry Pancakes - Delicious and fluffy pancakes with a hint of lemon and blueberry sweetness. This combination of flavors pairs perfectly with the tartness of the Lemon Butter, creating a delicious breakfast treat.
