Step by Step Method

Step 1

Drain clams, reserving liquid. Set aside clams and liquid.

Step 2

Melt butter. Add onion and saute until softened but not brown.

Step 3

Add potatoes, water, wine, salt, pepper, paprika, and drained clam liquid.

Step 4

Cover and simmer until potatoes are tender, 10-15 minutes.

Step 5

Add clams and half-and-half, and cook until just heated through.

This is so quick and easy to put together, but it is full of flavor. I used baby potatoes, so I did not peel them. I was out of paprika so I simply omitted it and I added a bit of dried thyme.
