Killer Breath Green Beans (Garlic)

"If you love green beans and if you love garlic you will love this recipe. It is originally from Taste of Home by Carol Mayer with some modification by me. You must use fresh beans. Do not overcook the beans - they should still be crisp"

Step 1

In a large skillet with a lid add oil and butter

Step 2

Saute the garlic until golden about 1 minute

Step 3

Remove and reserve the garlic

Step 4

Add green beans, broth salt & pepper

Step 5

Cook the beans uncovered until tender about 8 minutes, do not overcook you want them to still be a bit crisp.

Step 6

The broth will be almost all evaporated

Step 7

Add the garlic back with the beans, stir and serve

Tips & Variations

No special items needed.



Awesome beans! Love the crunch from the both the beans and garlic. I did use veggie broth in lieu of the chicken. Also used haricot verts. Fast, easy and oh so gooda! Definitely a keeper! Thank you Bergy for sharing. Made for Billboard Recipe Tag.
