Step by Step Method

Step 1

Spray the inside of the pot.

Step 2

Add water, then add oats.

Step 3

Sprinkle with the coconut sugar.

Step 4

Close the lid securely and make sure the valve is set to "sealing".

Step 5

Set to manual for 5 minutes and let it cook.

Step 6

Once the the instant pot runs it's course and beeps, let it release the pressure naturally, allowing it to sit for 30 minutes.

Step 7

Remove the lid, stir and taste to see if it needs more sugar.

The easiest ever oatmeal... I doubled the recipe and ran out of steel oats, so I added about half a cup of rolled oat and the recipe still turned out great. I added a shake of cinnamon to mine after they were done, and some of the kids added cinnamon and raisins to theirs. A great recipe because it's so easy to customize after it's cooked. Made for Billboard Tag in the forums.
