Step by Step Method
Step 1
If using raw bones, roast them in the oven at 400°F for about 30 minutes for extra flavor. If using pre-cooked or leftover bones, you can skip this step.
Step 2
Place all the ingredients in the Instant Pot, except for the water.
Step 3
Add the water, be mindful not to exceed the Instant Pot's maximum fill line.
Step 4
Set the pot to “Soup/Broth” for 2 hours using the natural release option.
Step 5
Let it run its course and once the pot has naturally released the pressure, place a sieve over a large bowl to strain the liquid.
Step 6
If you are freezing the broth for later use, allow it to cool completely. Pour the broth into 1-liter containers, cover and freeze.
