Step by Step Method

Step 1

Preheat oven to 220C/200C fan forced.

Step 2

Spray 4 x 10cm (base measurement) tart pans with removable bases with oil

Step 3

Stack pastry on a flat work surface, spraying with oil between sheets.

Step 4

Cut pastry in 4 x 12cm squares and ease a square into base of each prepared pan and spray with oil.

Step 5

Place on an oven tray and bake for 5 minutes or until golden.

Step 6

Meanwhile heat a small frying pan over high heat and spray onion with oil and cook and stir onion for 2 minutes or until soft and then add ham, remove from heat.

Step 7

Spoon ham mixture into pastry cases.

Step 8

Whisk combined milks, eggs and mustard in a jug and then pour into pastry cases and sprinkle with cheese.

Step 9

Bake for 15 minutes or until just set at the centre.

Step 10

Sprinkle with chives and serve with chilli sauce and salad.
