Step by Step Method
Step 1
Heat the butter and sauté the onion until translucent.

Add paprika and season lightly.

Add potatoes, bay leaf, water and salt to taste.

Cover, bring to a boil and cook for 15 minutes until the potatoes are tender.

Remove bay leaf.

Blend the flour and sour cream until smooth.

Stir this mixture into the potato mixture.
Step 8
Slowly add the milk, stirring constantly.
Step 9
Season to taste.
