"This is based on a recipe from an old Weight Watchers Chinese cookbook circa 1970's, with a couple of additions from us."

Step 1

Put all ingredients into a bowl and mix well.

Step 2

We used about 300 grams of finely sliced beef and marinated for about 1/2 hour but no more than 1 hour.

Step 3

The DH cooked and drained the marinade, reserving it and quickly seared the beef in a wok to seal the meat and then added the reserved marinade and bought to the boil and then simmered for a couple of minutes.

Step 4

We served the beef strips in wraps with salad.
