Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 8 teaspoons rice wine (Chinese rice wine 40ml or dry sherry)
  • 8 teaspoons soy sauce (dark, 80ml)
  • 1 tablespoon honey (20ml)
  • 8 teaspoons vegetable oil (40ml)
  • 3 medium chillies (finely slice deseed if you wish)
  • Gingerroot (1 knob, julienned)
  • 3 garlic cloves (sliced)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Put all ingredients into a bowl and mix well.

  • Step 2: We used about 300 grams of finely sliced beef and marinated for about 1/2 hour but no more than 1 hour.

  • Step 3: The DH cooked and drained the marinade, reserving it and quickly seared the beef in a wok to seal the meat and then added the reserved marinade and bought to the boil and then simmered for a couple of minutes.

  • Step 4: We served the beef strips in wraps with salad.
