"WhenI lived in Vancouver at lunchtime I would often go down to Granville Island Market. There was an Italian vendor that sold these on a lovely soft bun. This is very tasty with or without a bun. If hot is too spicy use mild or medium sausages. The sausages that I buy are from a local butcher and have very little fat. If you are using a commercial brand you may want to precook the sausages and remove the fat from the skillet before cooking the vegetables. You could also prick the sausages and boil them for 5 minutes then continue with this recipe."
