"This is a long time favorite of mine and total comfort food. I always use hot dogs but smoked sausage could also be used. A very simple recipe with a lot of flavor."

Step by Step Method
Step 1
Drain sauerkraut and add to skillet. Lay the hot dogs on top of the sauerkraut, cover and cook until hot dogs are plump and juicy approximately 20 minutes. Gently flip hot dogs while cooking.
Step 2
Put bag of frozen potatoes in the microwave and cook according to package directions. Be very careful when taking package out of microwave as it is very hot.
Step 3
Empty package of potatoes into your mixer bowl or a large bowl if using hand mixer. Add butter and milk and mix until creamy. More milk and butter can be added but I do not add salt. Place potatoes in medium pot to warm thru. Serve with sauerkraut on top of potatoes or on the side with the hot dogs.
