Step by Step Method

Step 1

Cook potatoes in large pot of boiling salted water until tender, about 20 minutes. Drain. Return to pot.

Step 2

Meanwhile, bring 1 1/3 cups milk and garlic to boil in large saucepan.

Step 3

Add milk mixture and horseradish to potatoes. Using potato masher, mash until smooth. Add butter; stir until melted. Season with salt and pepper. (Can be made 2 hours ahead. Let stand at room temperature. Stir over medium heat until heated through, adding more milk to thin if necessary.)

Yum! I wanted to try mashed potatoes with horseradish for some time now, and this recipe was the perfect balance of flavours. We immediately fell in love with it - definitely a keeper!! The only change I made was to use almond milk for the milk, and I used clarified butter (ghee) so I used a bit less because it's fattier, but provides the wonderful buttery taste. Thanks for sharing, this recipe brought a huge smile on our faces on a rainy day! Made for For Your Consideration Game.
