Step by Step Method
Step 1
In a large pot over medium heat, cook ground beef until evenly brown.

Season lightly.

Stir in onions, jalapenos and saute until soft and translucent.

Season with chili powder, and cook for about 2 minutes.

Add potatoes, carrots, hominy, tomatoes, and chilies.
Step 6
Pour in beef broth.
Step 7
Season to taste with salt and pepper.
Step 8
Reduce heat, and simmer 2 hours adding water as needed.
