"This is a great tasting barbecue sauce that can be used on just about any meat or poultry. With it's Asian flair and a good bottle of beer combination, those ribs will have you licking your fingers and grabbing another for good measure. Step 1

Warm olive oil in large saucepan, over medium-high heat.

Step 2

Add garlic, and saute for 30 seconds.

Step 3

Add 1 cup beer, hoisin sauce, chili powder and soy sauce. Cook for 10-15 minutes, or until thickened and reduced.

Step 4

Remove from heat, and let cool.

Step 5

Store in refrigerator until ready to use.

Great BBQ sauce Linda! Used for both chicken and chops with great results. Extra Hoisin Sauce on my shop list and assuring a cold one in the fridge to make a double batch for our upcoming long weekend. Into my Summer Cook Book and a plastic sleeved printout in my recipe drawer!

We used this on steaks that we made for a family gathering. Since we were drinking beer I decided to use some to cook with for the occasion. We all love this sauce and my brothers both wanted the recipe once they tried their steak. It is awesome tasting!
