Step by Step Method

Step 1

Place the potatoe slices in a large bowl. Drizzle with melted butter then season with salt and pepper. Arrange the potatoes in the bottom of a greased 13x9-inch baking pan. Bake uncovered at 400° for 25-30 minutes or until potatoes are almost tender.

Step 2

Sprinkle cooked beef and corn over potatoes. Combine the cream of mushroom soup, milk, garlic, chopped onion and 1/2 cup cheese and 1/2 teaspoon pepper; pour over beef mixture.

Step 3

Bake, uncovered at 400° for 20 minutes or until vegetables are tender. Sprinkle with remaining 1 cup of cheese. Bake 2-3 minutes longer or until cheese is melted.

I made this tonight, and it is DELICIOUS!!! I thought it was odd that the onions and garlic weren’t cooked with the beef, but it turns out that they’re so much more flavorful added raw. This will definitely be made often at our house! Thanks for a terrific recipe that I’ve already passed along to others :)

This is a really excellent "good for the soul" kind of food that my grandmother used to make. It is like Sheppard's pie on steroids!!! With ground beef, corn and potatoes loaded with extras for great flavor. Loved it and will be making this again!

Oh my this was very good, loaded with flavour. I had 4 mushrooms i had to use up so chopped and added them , other than that made as written but just made haof a recipe. Served with a green salad on the side. Nice week night supper.
