Step 1: Place the potatoe slices in a large bowl. Drizzle with melted butter then season with salt and pepper. Arrange the potatoes in the bottom of a greased 13x9-inch baking pan. Bake uncovered at 400° for 25-30 minutes or until potatoes are almost tender.
Step 2: Sprinkle cooked beef and corn over potatoes. Combine the cream of mushroom soup, milk, garlic, chopped onion and 1/2 cup cheese and 1/2 teaspoon pepper; pour over beef mixture.
Step 3: Bake, uncovered at 400° for 20 minutes or until vegetables are tender. Sprinkle with remaining 1 cup of cheese. Bake 2-3 minutes longer or until cheese is melted.
