Step by Step Method

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Step 2

Butter a 13x9x2 inch baking pan.

Step 3

In a large bowl whisk together the dry ingredients (flour - baking soda). Stir in the green onions and jalapeños.

Step 4

In another bowl whisk together buttermilk and eggs and then whisk in the melted butter.

Step 5

Add wet to dry and stir until blended.

Step 6

Transfer batter to prepared pan.

Step 7

Ake for 25-30 minutes or until cornbread is browned on top and cake tester (toothpick) comes out clean.

Step 8

Transfer to a rack and let cornbread cool completely in pan.
