Step by Step Method
Step 1
Combine the milk with vinegar
Step 2
Sift together, the flour with baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
Step 3
Cut in shortening and butter
Step 4
Add milk/vinegar mixture; mix well.
Step 5
On a floured surface, knead the dough a couple of times (dough should not be sticky)
Step 6
Roll out dough to a 1/2-inch thickness, then cut straight down (dont twist)
Step 7
Lightly spray a pan with cooking spray. Place dough on pan
Step 8
Bake in a preheated 450°F oven for 15-25 minutes. Depending on oven, just make it golden brown.
Step 9
Brush tops of biscuits with butter when you take them out of oven
