"This recipe was found in the TOH's 2017 Quick Cooking Annual Recipes. It was sent to them by Karin Ness from Big Lake, MN. You know sometimes when you try a new recipe for the first time and wonder if it will work, well I can tell you that this one does. :) As I did,please feel free to adjust the seasoning to your own tastes. Step 1
In a medium size bowl mix together the first four ingredients.
Step 2
Add the beef and sausage, mix lightly and make sure it's mixed together thoroughly.
Step 3
Place 1/4 cup of flour to a small bowl,then shape meat mixture into 1 inch balls (I got 24 balls out of the mixture ).Add and coat a few meatballs at a time with the flour.
Step 4
In a large skillet ,heat oil over medium high heat until hot but not smoking, add meatballs and cook until lightly browned.
Step 5
If needed drain meatballs and return to skillet,add 2 cups of broth,bring to boil.
Step 6
Reduce heat ,cover and simmer until meatballs are cooked through,about 6 minutes.
Step 7
Remove meatballs with slotted spoon .Add the remaining flour to broth and stir until smooth.
Step 8
Bring sauce back up to boil,cook and stir until desired thickness is reached.
Step 9
Place meatballs back into pan and heat through.
Step 10
Serve over your favorite starchy item.
