"My friends ask me to make these again and again. The recipe was originally from "The Complete Garlic Lovers Cookbook" but I have make some minor changes over the years. It is one of my favorite rib recipes. Yes that is right a total of 12 cloves of garlic. Don't worry it is the perfect amount for flavor."

Step by Step Method

Step 1

Place spareribs in a baking pan with a cover or use foil to cover

Step 2

Split 6 cloves of garlic in half and scatter over the ribs, cover pan and bake the ribs in a 350f oven for 1 hour

Step 3

While the ribs are baking in a saucepan saute the the onions and crushed garlic in the butter until the onions are translucent

Step 4

Add remining ingredients to the saucepan, simmer for 5 minutes

Step 5

After the ribs have baked dry for 1 hour, drain the pan of any fat and pour the sauce over the ribs, cover and return to the oven for up to 2 hours oven temperature 350f

Step 6

Check the ribs every 15 minutes, baste and check for tenderness,uncover for the last 30 minutes Depending on the amount of meat on the ribs they may not take the full 2 hours. When they are fall off the bone tender they are done

These are fantastic ribs, we devoured these. We had a few leftover for lunch (had them cold) and the flavor was still just as good!! I broiled them for a couple of minutes on a baking sheet to get the sauce to stick to the ribs.

Wowie Kazowie! These ribs are amazinggg! My husband raved and raved about them and told me I better hide the recipe in a very special place to have again! They came out falling off the bone tender and full of garlicky goodness. Yummy!
