Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 4 pounds pork back ribs (cut into serving size portions)
  • 6 medium garlic cloves, peeled, cut in half
  • 6 medium cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1 medium onion, chopped fine
  • 1 tablespoon butter (or margarine)
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1 cup water
  • 5 tablespoon brown sugar (or brown sugar splenda)
  • 1/4 cup celery, finely chopped
  • 4 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons worchestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon dry mustard powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne

How to Make

  • Step 1: Place spareribs in a baking pan with a cover or use foil to cover

  • Step 2: Split 6 cloves of garlic in half and scatter over the ribs, cover pan and bake the ribs in a 350f oven for 1 hour

  • Step 3: While the ribs are baking in a saucepan saute the the onions and crushed garlic in the butter until the onions are translucent

  • Step 4: Add remining ingredients to the saucepan, simmer for 5 minutes

  • Step 5: After the ribs have baked dry for 1 hour, drain the pan of any fat and pour the sauce over the ribs, cover and return to the oven for up to 2 hours oven temperature 350f

  • Step 6: Check the ribs every 15 minutes, baste and check for tenderness,uncover for the last 30 minutes Depending on the amount of meat on the ribs they may not take the full 2 hours. When they are fall off the bone tender they are done
