"Another recipe found in the Stray Rescue fundraiser cookbook I picked up at a Goodwill thrift store. This one was credited to Jennifer Offt. Sounds like something I would really like! The original recipe called it Garlic Pecans, but I much prefer walnuts, so I changed the recipe slightly and changed the name."

Step 1

Preheat oven to 275 degrees.

Step 2

Combine all ingredients in a large mixing bowl, stirring to coat the nuts evenly.

Step 3

Spread on baking sheet and place in middle rack of oven. Toss nuts every 15 minutes, cooking for a total of 45 minutes. Watch carefully at the end so they do not burn.

Step 4

Sprinkle with salt and pour into serving bowl.
