Step 1

Preheat oven to 350°F. Mix together the garlic, salt, and olive oil in a small bowl. Put the bread cubes on a baking sheet and drizzle the garlic oil over them. Toss to coat.

Step 2

Spread them out in a single layer. Bake for about 15 minutes, or until lightly browned and very dry. About halfway through, stir once to brown evenly.

These are awesome! I did make a change. I made the butter solution with spices, and then brushed it on the bread before cubing. So I skipped the step of drizzling and insured they all got some of the flavor. These are great! Thanks Derf!

Great easy tasty recipe! I used Sara Lee white whole wheat bread. I also tossed my bread cubes in a bowl with the ingredients. Made for the Billboard recipe tag game.

These are great croutons. I could just eat them alone as a snack. The smell was just amazing as this was cooking!! Made for the Alphabet Soup Recipe Tag Game.

Great croutons! The smashed garlic really makes these wonderfully flavourful. The perfect addition to our Caesar Salad. I will be making this again - and again. Always love when easy tastes super good!
