Given that I store leftover breads in my freezer for the sole purpose of making croutons, this recipe was right up my alley. There is nothing better than a good homemade crouton to bring salads, soups, etc. to a whole other level. When compared to the store-bought, there is just no comparison. When you order a salad at a restaurant and they use store-bought vs. making their own, it’s a teller on how serious they are about their food. These croutons were lovely and so very delicious, and even as a snack, oh yeah, so good. The only change I made was up the garlic a bit and added some parmesan. Yum, yum! Thank you, Derf, for providing us with such good recipes even from heaven.

These are awesome! I did make a change. I made the butter solution with spices, and then brushed it on the bread before cubing. So I skipped the step of drizzling and insured they all got some of the flavor. These are great! Thanks Derf!

Great easy tasty recipe! I used Sara Lee white whole wheat bread. I also tossed my bread cubes in a bowl with the ingredients. Made for the Billboard recipe tag game.
