"This is great and I use it frequently. It is so awesome that I wanted to share it with you. There are so many ways to use this versatile sauce. Add a couple of tablespoons of this to your glass, for the recipe I posted for Fresh Squeezed Lemonade, to make Strawberry Lemonade, for a great summer-time drink. Make some awesome Virgin Strawberry Daquiris with it too. (Put 2 cups Strawberry Syrup, 4 cups ice, and 1/4 cup fresh squeezed lime juice in the blender, and blend away). It's great for smoothies in the morning, or added to plain yogurt or Greek yogurt for breakfast. Other breakfast ideas.... How about pour some on your French toast, waffles, crepes or pancakes. Add it to unsweetened plain applesauce to make Strawberry Applesauce. The kids will love it! Spoon some over your favorite ice cream. You can also make Banana Splits and use this as a topping. Freeze it to make healthy all fruit popsicles for the whole family. Drizzle over plain cheesecake or Angel Food cake, and add a dollop of whipped cream. Use it for the filling in your next Strawberry or Strawberry-Rhubarb Pie or Strawberry Shortcake. This freezes very well too, so you can make up a big batch, freeze it then use it as needed. Buy a whole flat of strawberries when the prices are cheap, and make up a huge batch, so you have it all year long. The sky is the limit here!"

Step 1
Wash strawberries and remove stems.
Step 2
Combine berries, sugar, and extract in a medium-sized saucepan. Using medium heat, bring to a simmer, then cook for 5 minutes, stirring constantly and breaking up the strawberries with a wooden spoon. After 5 minutes, remove from heat and allow to cool slightly if you have a glass blender jar, and let it cool a lot if you have a plastic blender jar, so it doesn't explode when you turn it on.
Step 3
When cool, transfer mixture to the blender, and pulse until the consistency is the way you like it. You can leave it in chunks or make it smooth.
Step 4
Store in a covered container in the refrigerator, or freeze in storage bags or containers until ready to use. This will last a week or so in the fridge.
