"Just a bit of spice to give this recipe a lift. It is quick easy and tasty. The recipe calls for Habanero Heat Shredded Cheese but if you want it less spicy use Tex Mex Shredded cheese. Both are from Kraft. This recipe is from Kraft Kitchens"

Step by Step Method

Step 1

Brown the meat with the peppers and onions in a large skillet, apprx 10 minutes.

Step 2

Stir in the water, salsa and chili powder, bring to a boil.

Step 3

Add macaroni, cover, simmer over medium-low heat until the macaroni is tender, apprx 13-15 minutes. stir every few minutes.

Step 4

Add corn for the last 5 minutes.

Step 5

Remove from heat, sprinkle on Cheese and cilantro.

Step 6

Let it sit until the cheese has melted. Serve and enjoy

I love how you can make this recipe in one pot. I also love that you can adjust the heat based on your families tastes. I used hot salsa that was homemade. We sure enjoyed this one Bergy! Pure comfort food!
