Step by Step Method

Step 1

Heat oil in large covered stock pot.

Step 2

Add onions cook until browned.

Step 3

Add garlic and spices, water, lentils and rice.

Step 4

Add herbs and cover and simmer for 30 minutes.

At end stir in lemon juice.

Step 6

Season to taste.

Step 7

Serve with lemon wedges.
