Step 1: Heat oil in large covered stock pot.
Step 2: Add onions cook until browned.
Step 3: Add garlic and spices, water, lentils and rice.
Step 4: Add herbs and cover and simmer for 30 minutes.
Step 5: At end stir in lemon juice.
Step 6: Season to taste.
Step 7: Serve with lemon wedges.
