"A standby of my mother's for Sunday dinners. She called them "Greek Onions" though I have my doubts that Greek cooks would recognize the recipe. She always used the bottled onions, but fresh onions--either small (pickling size) or regular size (sliced or quartered)--can be used without changing the cooking time."
