Step by Step Method
Step 1
Combine water, sugar, nutmeg and cinnamon stick in a pan and cook over very low heat until sugar dissolves.
Step 2
Increase heat and bring mixture to a boil.
Step 3
Boil rapidly one minute.
Step 4
Remove pan from heat.
Step 5
Put peaches in syrup and return to heat.
Step 6
Poach peaches over low heat for 3 minutes.
Step 7
Let fruit cool in syrup.
Step 8
Stir in Drambuie.
Step 9
Refrigerate at least 4 hours before serving.
