"I found this recipe in Homestyle Cooking Made Easy.The original recipe used vanilla extract,but I preferred using mint along with mint chips to give it a double punch of mint. If you like mint,you're really going to love these brownies.Posted to " ZAZZ " on 2/24/15. " Keep Smiling :)"

Step 1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees and prepare a 9 x 9 inch baking pan with cooking spray(if you want your brownies thicker,use an 8 x 8 inch pan and adjust cooking time).
Step 2
In a small bowl mix together flour,baking soda,and salt then set aside.
Step 3
Over medium low heat in a medium size sauce pan add water,butter,sugar,and chocolate chips.
Step 4
Stir until butter and chips are melted and sugar is dissolved.
Step 5
Remove from heat and let cool for 5 minutes then add mint.
Step 6
Add eggs one at a time and beat well.
Step 7
Mix in flour and combine well then add in mint chips and pour into prepared pan.
Step 8
Bake for 30 to 35 minutes.
Step 9
If desired sprinkle with powdered sugar.
