"From one of Sunset magazines cookbooks. This is so simple and good. The soy sauce adds a nice salty flavor. Good served with beef roast or steak. They're good for breakfast too!"

This is a delicious way to do potatoes. They are quite salty tasting from the soy sauce. I peel & dice them ahead of time then cover them in water. Veery easy and definately will make agin Engrossed's [url=

This is a good side dish with a unique flavor that does not necessarily taste like soy, but imparts something to it. The butter makes it rich, and both ingredients complement the potatoes.

This was almost too easy for how wonderful it tastes! I accidentally tossed the wrong piece of my stick of butter into the pan so I ended up using 4 tablespoons, but it was fine. The only thing it did was keep the potatoes looking wet, but it also combined with the soy sauce to leave them almost caramelized in places. I'm glad I didn't halve this for two people, as I'll fry the leftovers for breakfast tomorrow!

I doubled this recipe and served these with chicken wings to a bunch of hungry men. It went over quite well. Made for the Billboard Recipe Tag Game.

Love this. Dicing the potatoes makes them cook much faster than larger wedges would. I used tamari sauce and added black pepper. Fabulous.

I made these potatoes awhile ago and forgot to review them. Sorry Engrossed! A very easy and great tasting potato side dish. I ussed yukon gold potatoes, unsalted butter, and low sodium soy sauce (that's all I keep on hand). The potatoes had crispy skins but the potato itself was so tender. Just enough salt for us and the soy sauce didnt make the potatoes taste like an Asian dish at all. Might try to wrap the potatoes in foil and cook them on the grill. Thank you for sharing T! Made and reviewed for the Recipebook Tag Game in the Game Forum.
