"Seems we all grew up with some version of Goulash. I've updated the old classic with fresh basil leaves, it adds such a fresh flavor. You can sub italian sausage for the ground round, it is excellent. You can also use any type pasta you like, just adjust cooking times accordingly."

Step by Step Method
Step 1
Onion and green pepper in the olive oil until translucent. Add ground round, salt, pepper and onion powder and brown the ground round until it starts to develop a nice, brown crust
Step 2
Add garlic, continue to cook 2-3 minutes. Add both cans of tomatoes and fresh basil to a food processor, whir until smooth.
Step 3
Add tomatoes and basil and one can water to ground round mixture. Add dry pasta, stir well. Cover, reduce heat and simmer for 15-18 minutes or until pasta is al dente. Sprinkle with fresh parsley and fresh parmesan to serve.
